IP's xpedx takes over Medford, Oregon, distributor Southern Oregon Paper and Packaging in move to enhance its offerings in state

LOS ANGELES, December 24, 2009 (Forestweb) — International Paper Co. division xpedx has taken over distributor Southern Oregon Paper and Packaging in a move that it says will expand its offerings in southern Oregon, the Mail Tribune reported Dec. 21.

The expansion will increase xpedx’s sales volume in a market that could see more growth through 2010 and beyond, according to Todd M. Thompson, a northwest general manager for xpedx.

The owner of the Medford, Oregon-based paper and packaging products distributor will stay on and work for xpedx as a salesperson.

According to its Web site, xpedx is a distributor of printing papers and graphic supplies and equipment. It is based in Loveland, Ohio.
