Wegmans Food Markets uses paper made from FSC-certified timber for millions of marketing materials U.S. supermarket chain prints weekly

LOS ANGELES, January 7, 2010 (Forestweb) — Wegmans Food Markets uses paper sourced from Forest Stewardship Council-certified timber for the millions of marketing materials the U.S.-based chain prints weekly, Supermarket News reported Jan. 5.

The FSC label is printed on such materials as Wegmans’ ads, coupon books and its Menu magazine. Wegmans’ printer of these materials, Creps United Publications of Pennsylvania, is also FSC-certified.

According to its Web site, Wegmans is a 75-store supermarket chain with stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.
