Germany's envelope maker Curtis 1000 Europe files for insolvency

LOS ANGELES, January 8, 2010 (Forestweb) — German envelope manufacturer Curtis 1000 Europe AG began insolvency proceedings on Jan. 1, 2010, EUWID-Paper reported Jan. 8.

Curtis 1000 Europe and its subsidiaries had filed for insolvency Oct. 13, 2009.

The company's subsidiaries, Neuwieder Couvertfabrik GmbH, Curtis Logistik + Service GmbH, and Lucas Baden GmbH, also filed for insolvency and have opened insolvency proceedings.

Curtis 1000 Europe AG is based in Neuwied, Germany, and is part of the Curtis Group.

Jens Fahnster has been appointed bankruptcy administrator.
